Cool day speedy walking by the sea, with a Catalan best friend who can multitask and tell stories of Barcelona, while we seemed to be walking our ways out of that city.
I am exhausted.

Then she took me to the hippy Sundays thing to do, which was good for a change to the Madrilian hipster Sundays thing to do. We explored Ciutatella park and I could feel my narrow-mindedness in all its glory, just to blame myself, instead of saying that what I saw was a zillion people literally narrowing my body with theirs, while I waited my friend who went on for shiatsu at a stall.

I had a very stressful half an hour where i grabbed my pencils trying to focus on something nice. But while i drawed people hit me, stepped on me, pushed and pulled and gave me complimentary punk massages, never required. I feel jealous of how people can relax so easily in these places.
Maybe relaxing in public should start being a subject to teach at schools.
As for the rest of the day, I really relaxed by laughing with my friend.
I am so loving Barcelona.

“Look that you are salty!”???, oh, please do learn Spanish!
Portrait of three witty people in Alicante.
Tres salaós en la tienda de Salazones: Jose Gamo, Ricardo Llavador y Manolo Valmorisco.

Lost a train where were i was meant to travel with work colleagues, traveled alone on next one, rain on the window, worries in mind… It was time for drawing hands and self protraits on the train window. I managed to unworry. Destination anywhere, east or west, i dont care. Totally uncommited. Lonely trips are the best ones.

Niagara Falls surroundings are the scientific proof on how human relationship with nature is totally sick. The more beautiful the spot, the easier will it be spoiled with horrible buildings, theme parks, cancerogenous food and hideous merchandising.
Yet, there is a nice place at the falls promenade for a vintage look, if you know how to crop your glances to see just what you want to. Its the Oakes garden theatre, from the 30′s. From there, better to go and spend all your time at the edge of the falls or on loop trip on the Maid of the Mist.

It happens when you spend time enough at an unknown city, as to repeat visits to the same places, have coffee and beer for a whole day at your chosen as favourite eateries, and when, as a consequence, you become sort of territorial…getting to know every single washroom in the city.

You spend your life overusing the metaphore of yourself flying and, when you happen to go up to the Space Deck at CN Tower, at 446,5 meters, your legs shake, and you need to hug a person who never ever claimed to fly, but to climb. Vertigo is not enough to describe the trembling. I just remembered why I skipped going up the Twin Towers on my own, and did the Empire only with friends. To get this pic of me at the glass floor, i had to close my eyes while I lied on it, then I got my picture lying on the floor, but…I did not look at the glass floor but in the picture.
Only after ten minutes sitting on the edge of the glass floor, did i have a look at it. As if my body needed to get used to the new horizon by just stading still, then my eyes could get activated again. So i moved really slowly at all times.
Like a sloth.
Well, afrer all, these are my sloth hols!
I dedicate this post to Alejandro, for being with me today. And to Gracia, and Carlos, and Heather ( again), who walked the tower and glass floors happy as squirrels in Toronto parks. Hours afterwards, I am still trembling. Icaro wings!
